BrightKey Announces Key Promotion

ANNAPOLIS, MD (July 13) – Lynden Renwick promoted to the position of BrightKey Vice President, Administration.

I am delighted to share with you some very exciting news regarding the promotion of our talented colleague and friend, Lynden Renwick, to the position of BrightKey Vice President, Administration. In his new role, Lynden will continue to be our company's legal counsel, managing contractual, compliance and litigation matters on a daily basis, and will take on a greater share of strategic and operational responsibilities.

Since moving from his native Australia to join the BrightKey team in December 2014, Lynden has made a remarkable impact on our company's performance and growth. His expertise has also allowed us to deliver an even broader range of services to our valued clients in both the corporate and government sectors.

While many of you may have interacted personally with Lynden over the past three-plus years – either in his role as our in-house legal counsel, as our go-to expert on contract-related issues or on HR matters – even those of us who work with him on a daily basis often are in awe of his accomplishments. Knowing he's too modest to list all of them, I wanted to share a few with you:

  • His eye for continuous improvement has helped BrightKey identify and implement new operational efficiencies and expense controls that have allowed us to harness the latest technology, ramp up our pace of growth and improve profit margins.
  • Our clients have benefitted from his extensive regulatory knowledge and counsel, particularly in the areas of GDPR, SSAE and PCI-DSS compliance and training.
  • In the area of onboarding and servicing our clients and employees, his expertise and professionalism have been invaluable in negotiating and crafting our Master Service Agreements and contracts, and advising on proposals and pricing matters.

On a personal level, Lynden's drive is no less impressive. For example, he:

  • Earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Baltimore, graduating with the highest GPA in the history of the program..
  • Completed a 400-page novel last year, and is seeking to have it published.
  • Trains in the martial art of Jeet Kune Do.

Despite his busy schedule, he carved out time to marry his beautiful wife, Katrina, last September. Now that's an important "YES" moment!
